How this version of the VDS website works. Updated October 8, 2026.

Browsing this website

The site serves static pages through Netlify. Your browser sends ordinary website requests to the hosting provider, which may process technical information such as an IP address and request logs. Read Netlify’s privacy statement (opens in a new tab) for information about the hosting provider.

This version doesn’t add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or embedded social feeds. Fonts and website images are served with the site, rather than loaded from a separate font service.

Google sign-in

When enabled, sign-in is provided by Netlify Identity using Google. Only invited accounts can join. Google and Netlify handle the authentication flow; this site does not collect your Google password. You may see “Netlify Identity” on the Google sign-in screen.

The Identity software uses browser session cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and refresh your session. The site sends same-site requests to verify your account and any server-assigned owner role. Sign out when you finish using a shared device. Signing out does not remove a project brief you chose to save separately on that device.

Private customer answers, photo uploads and Notion submission are not connected in this version. A successful sign-in does not mean those features are available.

The local brief preview

The brief preview keeps your answers in the current page by default. Nothing in the preview sends your answers to VDS, Notion or a customer account. Reloading or closing the page can discard an unsaved draft.

If you choose “Save this draft on this device,” the site uses your browser’s local storage to remember the text answers. This is not encrypted private account storage and does not sync across devices. Other people with access to the same browser profile may be able to open it. Don’t use it for passwords, financial information, private customer records or other sensitive material.

Turn saving off to remove the stored draft while keeping the current page’s answers, or use “Clear this draft” to clear both. Browser settings can also remove site data. A downloaded brief is a file you control; clearing the browser draft does not delete downloaded copies.

Email and external links

Email links open your own mail application. Nothing is sent until you decide to send the message there. External project and GitHub links open other websites with their own data practices. Only share information you intend the recipient to receive.
